- Bible - We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God,
filled with Truth and Power and meant to be obeyed. (Pro.
30:5; 2 Tim. 3:16; 1 Thess. 2:13; Heb. 4:12; 2
Peter 1:21).
- Trinity - We believe in one God, manifested in three persons: God
the Father, Jesus His only Son, and the Holy Spirit. (John 15:26; 2 Cor.
13:14; 1 Peter 1:2)
- Jesus (Yeshua) - The Son of God, born of the virgin Mary, crucified,
buried, and resurrected. He is the Lamb of God Who takes away the sins
of the world. He is the Word made flesh. (Matt 3:17; Luke
1:31; John 1:1-5, 14; John 1:9; Acts 1:22)
- Salvation - Salvation comes through
Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12; Rom 10:9), is available to every person (John
3:16-17; Acts 2:21; Rom 10:13), and is a gift of God (Eph 2:8-9).
- Holy Spirit -We believe the Holy Spirit is the one God sends to us to teach us all things (John 14:26), as the
"breath" of Jesus that empowers us to continue Jesus’ ministry (John
20:21-22), and as the "one and same Spirit" who gives to each a
spiritual gift for ministry (I Cor. 12:4-11).
- Forgiveness of Sins - Man's first step toward salvation is godly sorrow
that leads to repentance. The New Birth is necessary to all men, and when
experienced, produces eternal life (2Cor. 7:10; John 3:3-5; 1 John 5:12).
- Ministry of the Saints - Every believer
is part of the Body of Christ (1 Cor. 12:12-14) and has
been empowered by the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 12:4-7) for ministry (1 Peter 2:9),
for building up the Body of Christ, and for edification (1 Cor 14:12).
- Divine Healing - We believe that people can
be healed of any disease through faith. (Matt 10:8; 1 Cor 12:9; James
5;16; 1 Peter 2:24)
- Lord's Supper - The Lord
Jesus commanded us (those who have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior) to
partake of the Lord's Supper as often as we can to remember Him (Luke
22:19-20), to declare His death and return (1 Cor. 11:26), and to celebrate
the New Covenant (1 Cor. 11:24-25).
- Baptism
- Water Baptism - We believe water baptism is a participation in the life,
death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a public profession of
faith in the Lord Jesus. (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; Acts 22:16; 1 Peter 3:21)
- Baptism of the Holy Spirit - We believe Jesus will baptize
every believer with fire and the Holy Spirit, to cleanse us inwardly and
prepare us for service in His kingdom. (Matt. 3:11; Acts 1:5; Acts
11:16)
